Watertrain is pleased to announce that our new Level 4 Diploma in Water Operations and Management has been accredited by OFQUAL.
The Level 4 Diploma is accredited by the CABWI Awarding Body and recognised as a national qualification on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF).
The qualification, which is available throughout the UK, is the first of its kind and has been designed to fill a gap in the high-level Water Industry qualification structure.
It has been developed following consultation with the Water Industry, after it was recognised that there were roles that did not have the benefit of a Level 4 qualification to underpin and assist in the development of individuals in, or aspiring to, those positions.
Glenn Jackson, Watertrain’s Director of Learning and Development, said: “Watertrain has developed the Level 4 Diploma as a qualification for all management roles within the Water Industry. It is a multi-pathway qualification with a common core which will fulfil the industry’s business needs.
“It has been developed to offer a natural progression from Level 2 and 3 roles, as well as giving candidates the flexibility to complete a full qualification in the area of the business they specialise in. The new Diploma now furnishes the industry with a credible route to high-level technical competence.”
Previously, the only qualifications at Level 4 were the HNC in Water Operations and HNC in Construction and the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) which Watertrain has delivered for a number of years. After reviewing the suitability of these qualifications with our clients, they called for the development of an entirely new framework based more on the needs of the individual in role rather than a ‘process’ driven pathway.
